Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FinSheet Chrome extension and related services ("Service") operated by FinSheet ("we", "our", "us"). By using FinSheet, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
FinSheet is a Chrome browser extension that extracts financial data from web pages and exports it to Google Sheets. The Service includes the browser extension, our data processing servers, and any associated web interfaces or APIs.
2. Account Terms
- You must be at least 13 years old to use FinSheet.
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One person or legal entity may maintain no more than one free account.
- You may not use FinSheet for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
3. Payment Terms
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis through Stripe, our payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:
- Billing: Your subscription will be billed automatically each month on the anniversary of your signup date. All fees are quoted in US dollars.
- Free trial: If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
- Price changes: We may change our subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period.
- Refunds: We do not provide refunds except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@finsheet.space.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use FinSheet responsibly and in accordance with these guidelines:
- You may use extracted data for your own personal or internal business research and analysis.
- You may not systematically redistribute, resell, or sublicense data extracted through FinSheet at scale.
- You may not use FinSheet to build a competing data extraction product or service.
- You may not use automated tools or scripts to interact with FinSheet in a manner that exceeds reasonable personal use.
- You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the FinSheet extension or servers.
- You are responsible for ensuring your use of extracted data complies with the source website's terms of service and applicable laws.
5. Intellectual Property
Our property: The FinSheet extension, website, servers, APIs, and all associated code, designs, and documentation are the intellectual property of FinSheet. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property beyond the limited license to use the Service.
Your data: You retain all rights to the data you extract using FinSheet. We claim no ownership or intellectual property rights over the content you extract or the spreadsheets you create. However, the data on the source websites may be subject to the intellectual property rights of the respective website owners.
6. Service Availability
We strive to keep FinSheet available and operational, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- FinSheet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not warrant that extracted data will be accurate, complete, or current. You are responsible for verifying any data before making financial decisions based on it.
- In no event shall FinSheet be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold FinSheet harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
9. Termination
- By you: You may stop using FinSheet and close your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in cases of severe violations.
- Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any data stored on our servers associated with your account will be deleted within 30 days, except as required by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the extension at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of FinSheet after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
